Community and outreach
If you are a school, college, university, hospital or any community group we can bring the Museum of Happiness to you. We offer anything from one hour workshops to longer term partnerships.
Here's some examples of organisations we've worked with:
Arts University Bournemouth
We took a pop-up to engage students in the skills for emotional wellbeing. This helps create a positive attitude towards managing their mental health. Activities included mindfulness, laughter yoga, capes of kindness, positive body image art, mindful colouring in and much more.
The feedback was excellent. Check out the video below for feedback:
Manchester A&E department
Manchester hospital were looking for a creative way to launch their wellbeing space for their staff.
They invited the Museum of Happiness for a full day of workshops, talks and activities.
We offered resilience, stress management, and mindfulness sessions to nurses doctors, surgeons and other staff throughout the day.
We also helped decorate their new space with gratitude trees and other engaging science of happiness related posters.
It was a resounding success and through our use of social media other departments were also interested in launching a similar space within the hospital.
Arlington House is the largest homeless hostel in Europe. One Housing, which manages Arlington House were looking for wellbeing training for their residents.
They wanted to offer skills beyond just CV writing and interview skills, as many residents have mental health challenges.
The Museum of Happiness offered specially designed classes in mindfulness and yoga for this vulnerable group.
The feedback was so positive that Arlington House invited the Museum of Happiness to move into their space permanently. Some of the class attendees also went on to secure jobs - a great success.
