1-Day Workshop on Stress & Resilience

Resilience is our ability to bounce back when things don't go as planned. When you have resilience, you harness inner strength that helps you rebound from a setback or challenge. If you lack resilience, you might dwell on problems, feel victimized, become overwhelmed or event turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Resilience is important because it keeps us on track until we reach our goals, it allows us to deal with difficult situations and it helps us to grow by encouraging us to look at the positives.

However, it's not about trying to carry on regardless of how we feel. Instead, it's about understanding why we feel the way we do and developing strategies to help us deal with situations more effectively. More than five decades of research point to the fact that resilience is built by attitudes, behaviours and social supports that can be adopted and cultivated by anyone.

This one-day workshop has been designed to help you discover the science of stress and resilience and learn about good 'eudaemonic' stress and bad stress. Over the course of the day, you will become trained at adapting to adversity and developing your resilience muscle with our special Resilience Toolkit. We will lead you through exercises to help you decipher and harness the benefits of positive stress, all while discovering the profound effect of physical activity, mindful exercises, self-compassion and laughter on your wellbeing and emotional resilience.
